President Message

Our Comprehensive & Integrative Medicine Hospital is that provides the integrated medical treatment, which is a medical treatment service with a new paradigm through the fusion between the Western medicine and the Oriental medicine, for heightening the rate of the cure of the patients who are difficult to be cured and for improving the quality of life. Also, our hospital is a hospital that is affiliated with the Integrated Medical Promotion Agency Foundation, which was founded by having the Daegu Metropolitan City, the Daegu Catholic University Medical Center, the Daegu Haany University Medical Center jointly produce it in the year 2009. And it was founded through the support by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in the year 2015.

At the Comprehensive & Integrative Medicine, it diagnoses and medically treats together with the Western medicine doctors and the Oriental medicine doctors based on the results of a Western and Oriental medicine research that had been jointly proceeded with by over 50 professors of the Daegu Catholic University Medical Center and the Daegu Haany University Medical Center with the research fund of the Ministry of Health and Welfare from the year 2010, and, especially, the immunity cancer treatment, the cancerous pain treatment, and the chronic pain treatment are carried out. Also, through the integrated medicine societies and seminars in Korea and overseas, our medical staff have been continuing to publicize the excellence of the integrated medicine. And we have been conducting a joint research with the Harvard University, the Georgetown University, and a top 5 hospital of China.
In the future, too, the best medical staff, who have the noble sense of mission, and our entire staff, including the administration and medical treatment supporting department, will exert the utmost efforts so that we can become a hospital that is satisfied by the customers through the best serving medical service.

  • According to a survey of 289 patients (61 men and 228 women) who visited the hospital in 2018, "very effective" (53.78%) or "effective" (35.06%) were found to be 88.84% positive.

What is integrated medicine?

In order to heighten the rate of the cure of the illnesses that are difficult to cure and in order to reduce the side effects, the doctors and the Oriental medicine doctors medically treat together with the equal qualifications. And it is a medical service with a new paradigm that pursues the holistic health through the fusion between modern medicine, Oriental medicine, regenerative medicine, and supplementing and replacing medicine.

The background of the foundation of the Comprehensive & Integrative Medicine Hospital

Regarding our country, the situation had been such that the mutual, cooperative, medical treatments and the joint researches had been very hard because of the differences between the medical science and the Oriental medicine, the mutual distrust, the insufficiency of the basis (the evidences) of the Oriental medicine, etc. In order to provide the integrated, medical treatment, which is a medical treatment service with a new paradigm for the patients, sponsored by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Daegu Metropolitan City, the Daegu Catholic University Medical Center, and the Daegu Haany University Medical Center founded the non-profit making foundation of the Integrated Medical Promotion Agency together. Regarding the joint pushing ahead with the integrated, medical treatment (Medical science, Oriental medicine, regenerative, and supplementation and replacement) by the country and the civilians, the Integrated Medical Promotion Agency had been the only one in Korea and had been the very first time in the world.

The faculty of the two universities established a smooth cooperation system through the exchanges and cooperation in the several years of the past. And, through the joint researches, they have been continuously carrying out the clinical and preclinical researches regarding the integrated, medical treatment and the researches of the infrastructure, including the law, the administration, etc. from the year 2009. The CIM Hospital of the Integrated Medical Promotion Agency, which medically treats based on the results of the researches on the integrated, medical treatment was opened in September 2015.

Integrated Medical Therapy plan

It is an integrated medical care unique to Conprehensive & Integrated Medical Hospital to increase the cure rate of patients by simultaneously conducting medical and korean medicine cooperation, diet and counseling with patients through meetings with experts from various fields such as doctors, korean medicine doctors, nurses, therapists, and nutritionists.

Foundation Introduction

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Conprehensive & Integrated Medical institue was established as a joint investment by Daegu Metropolitan City, Daegu Catholic University Medical Center, and Daegu Haany University Medical Center. The Integrated Medical Promotion Foundation is the only one in Korea that the government and the private sector have jointly promoted integrated medical care.

The goal is to develop a standardized medical and korean medicine integrated medical care model that combines the strengths of modern medicine and korean medicine to improve the quality of life of suffering intractable patients. The faculty of Daegu Catholic University Medical Center and Daegu Haany University Medical Center have established a smooth cooperative system through continuous exchange and cooperationin the several years of the past. And, through the joint researches, they have been continuously carrying out the clinical and preclinical researches regarding the integrated, medical treatment and the researches of the infrastructure, including the law, the administration, etc. from the year 2009.

In addition, we are committed to the global development of integrated medical services by establishing international exchange networks such as Harvard Medical Center, Georgetown University Medical Center, Guangdong Province TCM Hospital, Shanghai Shuguang TCM Hospital and Fudan University Cancer Center.
